How Honey Helps Me Feel My Best

Hello there! Today, I want to share how honey helps keep me healthy. In the Philippines, many people use honey for different home remedies and tasty treats. It’s a bit like a sweet secret weapon!


A Soothing Treat for My Throat

Whenever I feel a little tickle in my throat, I mix warm water or ginger tea (salabat) with a spoonful of honey. It helps me feel better because honey has natural soothing qualities. It’s also super yummy!


An Energy Booster

Sometimes, when I’m feeling tired, I put honey in my breakfast oats or pancakes. It gives me a boost of natural energy. Instead of using sugar, I love using honey because it has vitamins and enzymes that can be good for my body.


A Filipino Home Remedy

My grandma taught me that honey can help with small cuts and scrapes. She’d dab a bit on a clean bandage (if we didn’t have medicine available) because honey can help keep the spot clean. Of course, for serious wounds, we still visit the doctor—but it’s neat to see how honey can help!


Healthy Tummy, Happy Me

Honey can also help with digestion. Sometimes after eating, I take a spoonful of honey with calamansi juice in warm water. It feels light and refreshing, and I think it helps my tummy digest food better.
